Study in France from Bosnia and Herzegovina: fees, visa
Bosnia and Herzegovina is not part of the European Union, so Bosnian nationals need a long-stay student visa to study in France. The country is also not among the 75 covered by the Études en France platform, which means candidates apply directly to French institutions and then complete the visa formalities, with the Institut français in Sarajevo hosting the local Campus France contact. Non-EU students face differentiated fees, 2,902 euros a year in licence and 3,950 euros in master for 2026-2027, unless an exemption is granted, while doctoral students pay 398 euros plus the 105-euro CVEC contribution. Erasmus+ is fully open to Bosnia and Herzegovina as a Western Balkans participant, and the Institut français relays calls for French government scholarships.
