Study in France from Ethiopia: procedure, visa, funding

Ethiopia is covered by the Etudes en France procedure, so applications to French institutions go through the Campus France platform and the Espace Campus France in Addis Ababa. Non-EU nationals then apply for the long-stay student visa, the VLS-TS, and validate it online once in France. Tuition at public universities is differentiated for non-EU students, 2,902 euros at licence level and 3,950 euros at master level for 2026-2027, unless an exemption applies, while doctorates pay 398 euros. On funding, Erasmus+ supports study mobility for Ethiopian students, and the French government scholarships listed by France Diplomatie are open to international candidates.
