Study in France from Ireland: no visa, national fees, apply

Irish students are EU citizens, so no long-stay visa or residence permit is needed to study in France, and applications follow the French route: Parcoursup for the first year of a Bachelor's degree and Mon Master for Master's programmes, not the Études en France platform. Tuition stays at the national rate, 178 euros a year at licence level and 255 euros at master level for 2026-2027, plus the mandatory 105-euro CVEC contribution, while doctorates pay 398 euros. The French Embassy in Ireland dedicates a section to studying in France, and Research Ireland co-funds Ulysses, the Franco-Irish mobility programme for research projects with the French ministries. Campus France's course search lets you filter programmes taught in English, so a degree in France does not always require fluent French to start.
