Study in France from Kyrgyzstan: visa and how to apply

Kyrgyzstan does not appear on the list of 75 countries and territories concerned by the Etudes en France procedure, so candidates from Bishkek and Osh apply directly to the French institutions of their choice instead of using the platform. Once admission is confirmed, the next step is the long-stay student visa, a VLS-TS issued for four months to one year and validated online after arrival in France. Non-EU first-time entrants pay differentiated registration fees of 2,902 euros at licence level and 3,950 euros at master level for 2026-2027, while the national rates are 178 and 255 euros; exemptions are possible, doctorates pay 398 euros and the CVEC contribution is 105 euros. On the funding side, the France Excellence Eiffel programme of the French government funds master and doctoral candidates, and the Campus Bourses search engine lists scholarships open to students residing in Kyrgyzstan. The French embassy in Bishkek publishes the visa and study information relevant to Kyrgyz applicants.
