Study in France from Kazakhstan: visa, fees and Bolashak

Kazakhstan is not among the 75 countries and territories covered by the Etudes en France procedure, so applicants from Almaty and Astana apply directly to French institutions rather than through the platform. After admission, they request the long-stay student visa, a VLS-TS issued for four months to one year and validated online after arrival. Non-EU first-time entrants pay differentiated registration fees of 2,902 euros at licence level and 3,950 euros at master level for 2026-2027, unless exempted, against 178 and 255 euros at the national rate; doctorates pay 398 euros and the CVEC contribution is 105 euros. For funding, the Bolashak international scholarship of the Kazakh state finances study abroad, and Campus France Kazakhstan lists the France Excellence Eiffel programme among the available French government grants. The French embassy in Kazakhstan also publishes scholarships for language training in France.
