Study in France from Moldova: visa, fees and funding
Moldova is not an EU member state, so a long-stay student visa is required to study in France, and the country is not on the Études en France list: applications go straight to the French institutions. The local Campus France office operates within the Alliance Française de Moldavie in Chisinau, which gathers information on programmes, calendars and visa steps, and the French Embassy in Moldova runs a page on studying in France. Non-EU students pay differentiated fees, 2,902 euros a year in licence and 3,950 in master for 2026-2027, exemptions aside; doctorates cost 398 euros, plus the 105-euro CVEC contribution. Erasmus+ international credit mobility is open to Moldovan universities, and French government scholarships are advertised by the embassy and by Campus France.
