Study in France from Mauritius: France Excellence grants

Mauritius is on the Etudes en France list, so applications to French institutions go through the Campus France platform and the Espace Campus France in Port Louis. A long-stay VLS-TS student visa is required after admission for non-EU nationals and is validated online after arrival. Public universities apply differentiated tuition to non-EU students, 2,902 euros in licence and 3,950 euros in master for 2026-2027, unless an exemption is granted, while doctorates pay 398 euros. Campus France Mauritius details the France Excellence scholarships and the student visa steps, and the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science and Research publishes scholarship schemes for Mauritian students.
