Study in France from Malaysia: EEF procedure and visa

Malaysia is one of the 75 countries and territories covered by the Etudes en France procedure, so candidates apply on the platform and go through the pre-consular steps handled by the Campus France office in Kuala Lumpur before requesting the visa. The student visa is a VLS-TS, valid for four months to one year and validated online within three months of arrival. Non-EU first-time entrants pay differentiated registration fees of 2,902 euros at licence level and 3,950 euros at master level for 2026-2027, while the national rates are 178 and 255 euros; exemptions are possible, doctorates pay 398 euros and the CVEC contribution is 105 euros. For funding, Malaysian public service scholarships such as the JPA programmes finance study abroad, and the France Excellence Eiffel programme of the French government supports master and doctoral candidates. The French embassy in Kuala Lumpur publishes the study, visa and scholarship information for Malaysian applicants.
