Study in France from Nepal: EEF procedure, visa, fees
Nepal is on the list of 75 countries and territories concerned by the Etudes en France procedure, so candidates apply through Campus France Nepal and complete the pre-consular steps on the platform before the visa application. The student visa is a VLS-TS, issued for four months to one year and validated online within three months of arrival in France. Non-EU first-time entrants pay differentiated registration fees of 2,902 euros at licence level and 3,950 euros at master level for 2026-2027, against 178 and 255 euros at the national rate; exemptions can apply, doctorates pay 398 euros and the CVEC contribution is 105 euros. For funding, Campus France Nepal publishes the France Excellence Eiffel programme and Erasmus Mundus joint master scholarships, and the Campus Bourses search engine lists further options. The French embassy in Kathmandu adds practical visa and study information for Nepali applicants.
