Study in France from Uzbekistan: visa and El-Yurt Umidi

Uzbekistan does not appear on the list of 75 countries and territories concerned by the Etudes en France procedure, so candidates apply directly to French institutions rather than through the platform. After admission, they request the long-stay student visa, a VLS-TS issued for four months to one year and validated online after arrival in France. Non-EU first-time entrants pay differentiated registration fees of 2,902 euros at licence level and 3,950 euros at master level for 2026-2027, unless exempted, against 178 and 255 euros at the national rate; doctorates pay 398 euros and the CVEC contribution is 105 euros. For funding, the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation of Uzbekistan finances study abroad, and Campus France Uzbekistan publishes the France Excellence grant programme for Uzbek students. The French embassy in Tashkent adds the visa and study information relevant to applicants from Uzbekistan.
