Study in France from South Africa: visa and scholarships

South Africa is on the Etudes en France list, so applications go through the Campus France platform and the Espace Campus France in Johannesburg. Non-EU students need a long-stay VLS-TS visa after admission and validate it online after arrival. Differentiated tuition applies at public universities for non-EU students, 2,902 euros in licence and 3,950 euros in master for 2026-2027, unless an exemption is granted, while doctorates pay 398 euros. Campus France South Africa lists scholarship options, the France South Africa Scholarship Programme funds bilateral mobility, and the Department of Higher Education runs an international scholarships portal.
